Bullying can strike at any time and in any environment, not only in disadvantaged ones. The phenomenon is due to the desire to consider oneself superior to others.
In recent years, thanks to the web and the ease of carrying out this conduct (just one click), the activity has intensified.
The data is alarming: suicide, often due to bullying or cyberbullying, is the second leading cause of death among young people in Italy. One in two teenagers suffers harassment of various kinds and 20% is the victim of actual acts of bullying. 70% lives in terror of ending up in the clutches of a bully, 11% of those who have suffered violence of this type have attempted suicide, 77% are in the grip of depression and 30% practice self-harm.
Here then is the role of sport is fundamental, both for the victims and for the executioners. Athletes are a positive example to imitate and a stimulus to improve, to acquire more self-confidence, to be extroverted and to have rules of behavior.
However, the world of sport is not exempt from the phenomenon.
For these reasons we invited speakers who are experts in the field and a world champion in kick boxing.
